The Life of A Network Marketer

This video shows the typical life of many network marketers. After the video, read my input below.

(Listen closely).

Meet the lion….aka the “Hype Man” and new (sometimes seasoned) to the networking industry. The lion will come into the area seeking out new prey.

Meet the zebra…aka the “Network Marketer” in loss of focus.

You will see the similarities of the lion/hype man, zebra/network marketer, he/her, his/hers, in the following analogy. icon smile The Life of A Network Marketer

In the video, you saw a hype man walk into a social marketing site, looking for new reps to place in his “perfect” business. With no introduction, he will pounce in, chasing everyone away, but will grab hold to the people that are out of focus or unaware of the industry. He will chase you down by numerous emails and tags, unexpected phone calls and video feeds….anything he can do to trap you into “His” world.

The lion will come into areas where lots of marketers are and prey on the weakest of the bunch. Once he catches his target, he will “harass” you into thinking his business is for you and there is nothing greater. The more experienced networkers ran away at 1st scent of the lion, but being unaware of what was going on, there was no time for you to make your escape, from curiosity and the “thirst” for more. He will continuously hold you down, literally sucking the life out of you, until you give in or GET AWAY!

If you have the will power and the right coaches in your life, RUN and run FAST! Catch up with the team members who saw it coming and got away. This is the time for you to get back locked in to the team calls, the leadership and your initial “Why”. Stay on track and away from the “Hype” of other fly by night lions. Keep your focus because I can guarantee, the same lion will be around in a few short months, looking to pounce in with another “perfect” opportunity. The life of a network marketer can be an exciting and lucrative experience, once you know which pitfalls to avoid.

Never Give Up

Many of us tend to give up on ourselves at times that “others” don’t believe in us. After watching  this “Facing the Giantsvideo clip, read my take on it below.

In business, you’ll always have people on the sidelines that will not have belief in you. Sometimes we listen to the negativity and start doubting our own selves…our own ‘Why”. This is one of the main reasons of having a mentor or a “Coach”. We all need someone to make us accountable, but more importantly, someone who knows what it takes to win and that believes in YOU.

Your “Coach” will push you harder than what you would d on your own, but he’ll get you to your desired goal and beyond. As with Brock, he pushed himself to make it a few yards, but through blind faith, guided by the right person, he made it to the end zone. In life you will have naysayers on the sidelines. This is normal, so don’t let it stop you from reaching your goals and/or dreams. Keep pushing and listening to those that count and you too will see those on the side line get quiet and eventually believe.

Remember, you don’t need everyone’s approval to become great, but having the right “Coach/Coaches” can get you further than you’ve ever dreamed. Never give up and if all else fails, watch this “Facing The Giants” clip again for the encouragement you need to keep going.
