Yes, uncut and still keeping things ’100′ with you, I explain my analogy of past relationships, business and the ‘Wolf In Sheep Clothing.’
After reviewing the above video, make sure you fully look into getting back in any past relationship, with a magnifying glass and a fine toothed comb. I don’t believe that all relationships remain the same if revisited, but from experience, I can advise you to always be aware of that ‘Wolf In Sheep Clothing.’
It would be nice to quit your job today and bring in thousands of dollars overnight. If it were this easy, I’m sure many would be quitting right now, but unfortunately, it’s not as simple as some would have it seem. This concept is misleading and confusing to many people and what I feel to be a bad approach to “could be” business partners/customers. (Sounds harsh to some, but of course, this is my blog & opinion.)
Of course there is a tad bit of reality in quitting your job and making millions, don’t get me wrong. Something of this magnitude is done by a handful that knows the industry, know the right people and are grounded in a great business opportunity. My advice would be to embrace these foundations 1st, before putting in your 2 week notice and quitting your job.
Have you become a “Jack Of All Trades & A Master Of None“, when it comes to business? About 1 year ago, I wrote a blog posts on “Jumpers“, a name I’ve coined for people jumping from one business opportunity to the next. Here we are 1 year later and things have changed a little, but not much.
How many business opportunities have you been involved with in the past 12 months? Many have been in at least 3, some have been in 6. Don’t get me wrong, multiple streams of income makes sense and it is a beautiful thing, but being involved in too many things at one time keeps your focus off track. A new business opportunity hits the internet every week, so there are far too many for you to be involved with all of them, chasing the dollar.
Jumping from one opportunity to the next (every 2 or 3 months) can cause:
Loss of focus on the previous company, especially when trying to build 2 companies that offer the same product/business.
Loss of leadership values. Ask yourself, “Would you follow someone that is a nomad in the industry, chasing one dream after the next”?
Confusion amongst your team. If you’re cross building your team into different companies, how can they trust you’re fully committed to either one?
Time management issues. It gets complicated being on 3 different company conference calls on a Thursday night. Each week you’ll miss valuable information from somewhere.
I’m speaking on this from my own experience, because I was doing the same thing years ago. I was going from one opportunity to the next “chasing” the dream, while spending more money out on membership fees than I was bringing in on some months. I started to watch how the top leaders were marketing & managing their business time. Yes, many have more than one business, but they stay grounded in one of them long enough to produce positive results, before moving on to another.
I see so many people today doing what I was doing, some even promoting a new company every 2 months. From experience, it’ll only drain you and keep you from getting where you really want to be, which is financially free, without having to chase the dollar. Keep in mind, if you continue on this trail, you’ll find yourself being a “Jack of All Trades & A Master Of None“.
Being in the network marketing industry for quite some time now, it seems as too many people are marketing a business based on hype & not the true value of the business. The ultimate goal of business obviously is to make money, but leading with some type of value and showing a person what business can do for THEM, is more important. Below is one of my random displays of marketing your business, that may shine a light for you if you’re marketing your business based on hype alone.
P.S. This video is not in the typical office or living room setting, so if you didn’t already know, you will see that I’m an everyday real person just like you.
There are tons of articles about using social media as a marketing tool across the internet, but I think this video will give you a more defined idea of what social media can do for your business.
I hope this visual has helped you, but I would advise using other articles about using social media as a marketing tool, as well.
