Yes, uncut and still keeping things ’100′ with you, I explain my analogy of past relationships, business and the ‘Wolf In Sheep Clothing.’
After reviewing the above video, make sure you fully look into getting back in any past relationship, with a magnifying glass and a fine toothed comb. I don’t believe that all relationships remain the same if revisited, but from experience, I can advise you to always be aware of that ‘Wolf In Sheep Clothing.’
Does the ‘Perfect Relationship’ exists? I’ve yet to find any that were ‘perfect’, but I’ve found relationships in business and in life overall, that are worth having….even if there are a couple of bumps in the road.
After viewing the video, you now have a clearer understanding of ‘perfect relationships’. They are probably non existent, but as the relationship grows, we can be perfect within it.
In building your business or in looking into a new one, I’m sure you’ve been exposed to the hotel meetings that are clear across town and the convenience of home webinars. Have you ever invited your neighbors, family and friends to a huge event at a top notch hotel, only to get there and no one shows up? How about setting up an event in a room seated for 100 people and only 12 show up? Of course this has never happened to you right???
It brings me back to a time where myself and one of my business partners, showed our dedication to the business we were in at that time, by hosting meetings every Thursday. The conference room cost was roughly $90 a night, every Thursday for about 10 months, so I’ll let you do the math on that one.
Though we were dedicated enough to be there every Thursday…rain, sleet or snow, despite the lack of support from others, we kept the show going. Eventually, we started doing live video conferences, as a support to the entire rep base. Through doing so, we found that doing webinars to become a better business decision by:
Being able to reach more people world wide.
People saving on gas and avoiding traffic.
Parents not paying for babysitters or rushing to a meeting from work.
Though these were great highlights of doing home webinars, the most effective was putting $360 back in the bank every month. I made a list below of a few webinar platforms you can use, if you are looking to do home webinars for your business. The links are clickable, so that you can review and choose the one that is right for you.
GoToMeeting: 30 day free trial, then up to 15 participants at $49 monthly.
LiveHuddle: Free account for up to 3 participants. 10 participants and above start at $30 monthly.
WebEx: Free 14 day trial for up to 25 participants, then $49 monthly
Hotel meetings are a great way to connect with business partners and new customers, but home webinars are so much easier and cost effective. At least this way you can invite people, without the worry of them not showing up.
Buzzy Boxer gives a great description of what NOT to do in your business. Pay close attention to these few things to avoid while building a network marketing business.
Wouldn’t it be nice to join a company just because the compensation plan, product/service, mentorship, leaders and timing was just right for YOU….without all the fluff? Have you become a “Jack Of All Trades & A Master Of None“, when it comes to business? About 1 year ago, I wrote a blog posts on “Jumpers“, a name I’ve coined for people jumping from one business opportunity to the next. Here we are 1 year later and things have changed a little, but not much.
How many business opportunities have you been involved with in the past 12 months? Many have been in at least 3, some have been in 6. Don’t get me wrong, multiple streams of income makes sense and it is a beautiful thing, but being involved in too many things at one time keeps your focus off track. A new business opportunity hits the internet every week, so there are far too many for you to be involved with all of them, chasing the dollar.
Jumping from one opportunity to the next (every 2 or 3 months) can cause:
Loss of focus on the previous company, especially when trying to build 2 companies that offer the same product/business.
Loss of leadership values. Ask yourself, “Would you follow someone that is a nomad in the industry, chasing one dream after the next”?
Confusion amongst your team. If you’re cross building your team into different companies, how can they trust you’re fully committed to either one?
Time management issues. It gets complicated being on 3 different company conference calls on a Thursday night. Each week you’ll miss valuable information from somewhere.
I’m speaking on this from my own experience, because I was doing the same thing years ago. I was going from one opportunity to the next “chasing” the dream, while spending more money out on membership fees than I was bringing in on some months. I started to watch how the top leaders were marketing & managing their business time. Yes, many have more than one business, but they stay grounded in one of them long enough to produce positive results, before moving on to another.
I see so many people today doing what I was doing, some even promoting a new company every 2 months. From experience, it’ll only drain you and keep you from getting where you really want to be, which is financially free, without having to chase the dollar. Keep in mind, if you continue on this trail, you’ll find yourself being a “Jack of All Trades & A Master Of None“.
